About PTB & getting started

¿Qué es Plutus Trade Base (PTB)?

All plans

Plutus Trade Base (PTB) is a proprietary-trading evaluation provider. You take a simulated trading challenge, and if you meet the targets and follow the rules, you receive a simulated funded account and can earn performance-based payouts of up to a 95% profit split. Everything runs in a simulated environment for educational and evaluation purposes.

¿Quién opera Plutus Trade Base?

All plans

PTB is operated by two companies. Triple Edge Group LTD (Cyprus, Company No. HE465348) provides the educational and evaluation services and operates the TradeLocker, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade, and TradingView platforms. PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD (Saint Lucia, Reg. No. 2025-00638) operates the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform only.

¿Es Plutus Trade Base legítimo?

All plans

Yes. PTB is operated by two registered companies, publishes its full Términos y Condiciones, verifies traders through KYC, and pays performance rewards through established payment providers. All rules — targets, drawdown, and payout conditions — are published on each plan page and in the Terms.

All plans

No. You never deposit trading capital and no live-market trade is ever placed on your account. All trading uses virtual balances on market-replica data. The only money you pay is the one-time fee for your chosen plan.

All plans

It is a simulation. Accounts use virtual balances that replicate real market conditions so your skill and risk management can be evaluated. Payouts are performance-based rewards funded by the Company, not profits from live-market trading.

¿Cómo empiezo con PTB?

All plans

Choose a plan and account size on the plans page, complete checkout, and you will receive login credentials. Lightning, Freedom, and Adventure start with a challenge; Instant starts you on a funded account immediately.

¿PTB da asesoramiento financiero o de inversión?

All plans

No. Nothing PTB provides is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. PTB is not a broker, does not manage funds, and does not execute live-market orders. All trading decisions are yours.

Prop trading basics

All plans

A proprietary trading firm gives traders access to a firm-funded account and shares a percentage of the profits. PTB is a simulated prop-trading evaluation provider: you prove your skill on a simulated challenge, then trade a simulated funded account and earn performance-based payouts of up to a 95% profit split.

¿Qué es una cuenta de trading financiada?

All plans

A funded trading account is one whose capital is provided by the firm rather than the trader. At PTB the funded account is simulated — you never risk your own money — and you earn a share of the simulated profits (up to 95%) as a performance reward.

All plans

A challenge (or evaluation) is a test of trading skill and risk management: you aim to reach a profit target while staying within the drawdown and other rules. Passing it earns you a funded account. PTB's Lightning, Freedom, and Adventure plans are one-step challenges; Instant skips the challenge entirely.

All plans

Prop firms typically earn from evaluation fees and from traders who do not pass, and they share profits with traders who succeed. PTB funds payouts from its own resources as performance rewards.

All plans

A prop firm can be worthwhile for a disciplined trader who can pass an evaluation and trade within the rules, since it allows a large profit split without risking personal capital beyond the fee. Results are never guaranteed, and evaluations are demanding.

¿Cómo elijo un prop firm?

All plans

Compare the rules (profit target, drawdown type, daily loss limit, time limit), the profit split, payout speed and frequency, the fee, supported platforms and countries, and how transparent the terms are. PTB publishes every rule on each plan page and in its Terms.

All plans

A one-step challenge has a single evaluation phase; a two-step challenge requires passing two phases before funding. PTB's Lightning, Freedom, and Adventure plans are all one-step.

¿Cómo puedo superar el examen prop firm?

All plans

Trade within the rules: reach the profit target without breaching the daily loss limit or drawdown, spread profit across multiple trading days, avoid over-leveraging or all-in trades, and follow your plan's restrictions. Consistent, risk-managed trading passes far more reliably than chasing one big trade.

Trading rules (all plans)

What are the rules on high-frequency trading (HFT)?

All plans

Crossing a hard rule such as the daily loss limit or drawdown ends the account, and related pending rewards for that account do not carry over. Decisions are based on your account's own logs and data, and you can appeal.

Does PTB monitor trading for abuse?

All plans

PTB monitors accounts and may review trade logs and analytics, and request an EA's configuration, where it reasonably suspects a breach, fraud, manipulation, or conduct inconsistent with its compliance requirements. Decisions are made in good faith on the evidence, and you may request a review.

Can I scale up my account?

All plans

Yes. If you achieve at least double the initial profit target (for example 12% against a 6% target) while staying fully compliant for seven consecutive days, you can request a Scale-Up by emailing support. KYC, compliance & eligibility

All plans

KYC is usually quick once you submit clear, valid documents. A payout requested while verification is still in progress is paused until verification succeeds, then released.

All plans

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and have the legal capacity to enter into the Terms.

Which countries are restricted?

All plans

Can I have more than one account?

All plans

You may hold one set of accounts unless PTB agrees otherwise in writing. Operating undisclosed multiple accounts to bypass limits is a breach.

Will PTB notify me about rule or price changes?

All plans

For any material change to the Terms, PTB publishes the update and notifies active traders by email or dashboard at least 7 days before it takes effect. Plan, price, or rule changes normally apply only to new accounts.

Refunds & billing

What is PTB's refund policy?

All plans

Can crypto payments be refunded?

All plans

Payments made by cryptocurrency, or by other methods that do not support refunds, cannot be refunded through that channel.

What happens if I file a chargeback?

What is drawdown?

All plans

Drawdown is the maximum your account may fall before it ends. PTB plans use either a static or a trailing drawdown.

What is the difference between static and trailing drawdown?

All plans

Static drawdown is measured from your fixed starting balance and does not move; trailing drawdown follows your account's peak and rises as your balance grows. Lightning uses static; Freedom, Adventure, and Instant use trailing.

What is a profit target?

All plans

The profit target is the profit you must reach to pass a challenge or qualify for a payout — for example 3% on Lightning's challenge or 5% on Freedom's.

What is a daily loss limit?

All plans

The maximum an account may lose in a single day; exceeding it ends the account. Lightning funded accounts have a 2% daily loss limit, while Freedom has none.

What is a profit split?

All plans

The share of profit you keep. PTB offers up to a 95% split — Lightning is 80% by default, or 95% with the Profit-Split add-on.

What is a profit buffer?

All plans

On Freedom, the buffer (3%) is the cushion your funded balance must cross before you can withdraw the profit above it.

What is the Skill Score?

All plans

A Freedom-only measure of how evenly your profit is spread across trades; it sets the maximum you can withdraw in one payout but does not affect whether the payout is approved.

What is the Best Day rule?

All plans

A Lightning funded rule that limits any single trading day to no more than 40% of your total profit when you request a payout.

What is leverage?

All plans

Leverage lets you control a larger position than your balance. PTB offers up to 100x on Lightning and Freedom, and up to 50x on Instant.

What is an Expert Advisor (EA)?

All plans

An EA is an automated trading program. PTB allows EAs for normal, non-HFT strategies on most plans, but automated high-frequency trading via EA is prohibited, and EAs are not allowed on the Instant plan.

What is high-frequency trading (HFT)?

All plans

HFT means placing very large numbers of very fast, very short trades. Normal manual higher-frequency trading is allowed; abusive HFT and any automated HFT via EA are not.

What is hedging?

All plans

Holding a long and a short position on the same instrument at the same time. Hedging is not allowed on any PTB plan.

What is DCA (dollar-cost averaging)?

All plans

Adding to a position at different prices to average the entry. DCA is permitted on the Adventure plan.

What is copy trading?

All plans

Mirroring trades from another account or system. Copy trading is not permitted on the Adventure plan.

What is KYC?

All plans

Know Your Customer — identity verification completed once before your first payout.

What is scaling (scale-up)?

All plans

Increasing your account size after strong, compliant performance — at PTB, after achieving double the initial profit target while staying compliant for seven consecutive days.

What does 'simulated trading' mean?

All plans

Trading with virtual balances on market-replica data, with no real capital at risk — how all PTB accounts operate.

What is a funded trader?

All plans

A trader who has passed an evaluation (or purchased an Instant account) and trades a funded account, earning a share of the profits. At PTB this is a simulated funded account.
